Newsletters

On this manual page, you will learn which settings you need to configure before you can send newsletters to your Contacts.

1. Setting up the email accounts

First you have to make sure that your email accounts are set up in PlentyONE.
For further information, refer to the EmailBuilder: Preparatory settings page.

Creating and editing a recipient list

PlentyONE provides you with recipient lists (formerly: email folders) that you can use to organise your contacts for sending newsletters.

Creating and editing a recipient list:

  1. Go to Setup » CRM » Newsletter » Recipient lists.

  2. Click on add to create a new recipient list.

  3. In the recipient list details section, enter an informative name for the recipient list.

  4. Under Available for client, select the client for which you want to create the recipient list.

  5. Click on save to save the settings.
    → Additional settings for the recipient list are displayed.

  6. Click on add in the Recipient section to create and add a new recipient to the recipient list.
    OR:

  7. (optional) Click on tune in the Import email addresses from orders section to use filters to narrow down your search for email addresses.

  8. Click on search to start the search.

  9. Click on open_in_browser to copy all found email addresses to the recipient list.

  10. Save save the recipient list.

2. Assigning the recipient list to the Newsletter main folder

Proceed as follows to assign the recipient list to the Newsletter main folder:

  1. Open the menu Setup » Shop » [Select client] » Order process.

  2. Select the corresponding recipient list under Newsletter main folder.

  3. Click on save.

3. Creating an email template in EmailBuilder

Creating an email template in EmailBuilder:

  1. Go to CRM » EmailBuilder.

  2. Click on addAdd to create a new email template.
    OR:

  3. Use the standard template Newsletter subscription and customise it to suit your needs. For more information on working with the EmailBuilder, see the EmailBuilder manual page.

  4. Edit (edit) the content of the email template.

  5. Save (save) the email template.

4. Linking the newsletter email templates with the email accounts

In the next step, link the email template you just created to your email accounts (Setup » Client » Global » Email accounts).

Newsletter registration in contact details

In the contact data record in the CRM » Contacts » [Open contact] » Area: Contact details menu, the date of Newsletter registration is automatically displayed if the person has subscribed to the newsletter and has confirmed the newsletter registration via the confirmation link.

Linking the email templates with the email accounts:

  1. Go to Setup » Client » Global » Email accounts.

  2. Select the corresponding client.

  3. Select the email template you just created from the drop-down list under Request for confirming the newsletter registration in the Automatic dispatch section.

  4. Select an email template from the drop-down list under Email after successful newsletter registration.

  5. Save () the settings.
