Classes: Setting up an individual price for a certain customer class in your plentyShop
In contrast to other customers, I want that a certain customer can see an individual price for a certain item in my plentyShop. What can I do?
Required steps (short version)
-
-
Important: Customer class and referrer Client (shop) have to be activated.

1. Creating a customer class
First, create a customer class that you later activate in the sales price.
Creating a customer class:
-
Go to Setup » CRM » Customer classes.
-
Click on the New customer class tab.
-
In the Name field, enter the name of the customer class, e.g.
Regular customers
. -
Set the setting Volume discount to include if you later want to set a volume discount in the sales price.
-
Select (radio_button_checked) whether the prices in the online shop should be displayed as gross or net prices.
-
Save (save) the settings.
The steps described above list the settings that have to be carried out at least during the creation of a customer class for the purpose of this practical example. Of course, you can carry out further settings in the customer class. For further information, refer to the Creating a customer class chapter on the Carry out preparatory settings page. |
You can set up automated processes in PlentyONE so that certain customers are assigned to a dedicated customer class.
You can find a common example of an event procedure further down on this page in the Setting up an event procedure chapter.
Of course, you can adjust the customer class manually in the contact data record.
2. Creating a sales price
Create a new sales price. Sales prices define the conditions under which a variation is sold at a specific price. For example, you can sell products for a lower price in the plentyShop than on a marketplace. Or you can sell products cheaper to B2B customers than to B2C customers.
In the sales price, you have to activate the customer class that you have just created and the referrer Client (shop).
Creating a sales price:
-
Go to Setup » Item » Sales prices.

Click on New.
-
Enter a number into the Position field.
→ Note: If you link multiple sales prices to a variation, you’ll see these sales prices sorted by their position number in the item data record. -
In the Internal name field, enter a name for the sales price, e.g.
Regular customer price
.
→ Such as the internal name, the External name field is a mandatory field. Here, you can enter the same name as for the internal name or enter a different name for the sales price. -
In the Minimum quantity field, enter a number, e.g.
3
.
→ Example: If a customer buys multiple copies of your item (e.g. 3), you can determine that the price will be reduced starting from a purchase of 3 copies. Important: In the case of reduced prices that apply at a certain quanitity of items, volume discounts have to be allowed in the customer class. Make sure that the setting Volume discount is set to include in the customer class. -
